This storage facility is great, besides the location, cleanliness, and security the customer service is superb. Rachel and Juan are awesome, they were very patient and accommodated, thanks to them our transition from NYC to San Antonio went well without any glitches. We highly recommend it !!! :-)
Moving from San Jose, CA to San Antonio, TX was a challenge enough and Raquel saved my day with a great promotion of free month...whew! Gas prices on my way here ate everything I had and when I called asking Raquel what she could do for me, she DELIVERED!! Had a great experience with Extra Space Storage, Rachael, the property manager, has been helpful since day 1. I had a complex move and Rachael went out of her way to accommodate my needs. The rest of her staff has been courteous and friendly. As Melissa Q. mentioned, the online payment reminder is quite convenient. I researched several storage facilities in the San Antonio area and Extra Space was by far the best. Highly recommended!
Raquel is an amazing manager.. service is always amazing. However the rates are ridiculous at this facility. Why would rates increase as if this is a rental property?

PSA: RENT AT YOUR OWN RISK WITH THIS COMPANY This all began when I noticed several items missing out of my storage in April and filed a theft claim as a result of it. Fastforward from that in the interim there was a rate increase and a dispute filed with my bank for that reason for one payment. I was thrown immediately into a "foreclosure" situation with this storage with all kinds of fees etc to the tune of over $600 to clear it up and keep them from auctioning my items off. There is no ac. A really bad smell on the second floor near the 400 storage spaces. The elevator is ridiculous. you have to pull on cords to close and open it. if someone forgets to close it you have to walk all the way down the stairs or up to get the elevator to open. i would have never used this place solely on the elevator if i knew ahead of time.

I had a until here for about 9 months. First off the staff is great to work with! Always friendly and knowledgeable. I would have scored a 5 but there were some significant issues with my unit. The first rain storm brought major leaking to my unit and damaged some furniture. Major mold. When I brought it to the attention of the manager she advised I could move units but I would have to do it myself or pay for a company to do it. Rent parking space here, often the gate to the facility will not open, which cause me to miss many jobs. Say away from this storage.
