This company bought out the one I was renting space from. They doubled my rate. When I called to question why I didn't receive notice of this they said they mailed it to an old address. I didn't authorize them to pull a double rate on my bank card. I live on a fixed income and the extra rate took my grocery money. I want a refund. Their manager Lequonda Hill is a liar, based on her personal issues she judges customers. If you like to speak to the assistant manager instead of her, she gets mad and tries everything to kick you out. Like blaming you for reviews that you didn't do. The real issue is the lack of empowered management and ineffective company policies that leave both staff and customers frustrated.I am currently renting two units at this facility. When I transferred one and decided within 24 hours to keep it, I was told the original rate could not be honored because it took the entire weekend for someone with authority to review and override the system. Im warning anyone thinking of renting from Extra Space Storage. This company operates on the very definition of bait and switch. Youd think a newer location would want to build trust and keep customers, but instead they pull stunts like this.I signed up for a unit at what I thought was a fair, clearly listed price. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE, Will take your money for storage unit, no problem, but you are on your own after that, they will not answer the phone, will not return an email. Use chat, good luck. They will tell you on chat that the only thing they can do is forward your number to a person that will get back to you in a few days, Zero customer service. Sheisters, dont waste your time and money. We came on a promotional rate of about $135/month and within just a few months they are doubling the cost!
They double billed me in 1 month and then overbilled me the next few months. Manager is not willing to reimburst me for over billing me though we had a year contract. Dont store at this company they have a chain of them.
They price gauge. Rent has doubled since I got the unit while online the prices remain low.
I am seeking to sue this place I have been going through a hard time and had to rent a unit I signed a agreement for $73 after a few months Im now paying $190 I understand a late fee although that is extremely high but how do raise a rate I didnt sign to nor did I receive a letter because I do not live at the address I left from or I would not need a storage unit!! I will be removing my things asap and seeking a lawyer
