I drove all the way to THIS location on W Sahara from a different location to get the promotional price per the employee at the one I originally stopped at. But they failed to tell me that in order to get that price, you have to pay 4 months in advance! Then they will raise your rates to almost double what you were paying! If you read other reviews, this is a standard practice here. At 4-5 month mark your rates will go up exponentially! Over the course of two years, the price more than doubled to well over $300 for a 10x10 non climate controlled space. Always collected tons of dust. We moved 1/2 mile down the road to climate controlled space, indoors, and the same size for $142. We understand price changes, but Extra Space Storage is just a ripoff.

I don't like how I've had my unit for less than a year twice my rate has been raised. It's ridiculous for the size I have to be paying over 100 dollars a month. Looks like I may have to find a different storage place.

I began renting from Extra Space in May of 2016. I disliked being forced to provide my banking info for automatic payments, as I prefer to choose how I'd like to pay. But the final straw occurred in December 2016. I needed a larger unit, and was told that once I paid for the new unit, I had 24 hours to move my things out of the old unit. I was going to be out of town so this presented a problem. I offered to pay to have an extra day or two, but they wouldn't allow it. Let me start off by saying that my Grandmother, mother, and my self have had units at this location for over 10yrs. We always pay on time if not not early. Always got along very well with the staff.NEVER had issues. Recently this location hired a new manager ( which I swear has horns) and she is just absolutely horrific! First the unit price went up, now the dumpster is locked up and can no longer be used by customers. But the absolute worst thing about her is her terrible additude! Not only is there a UNNECCSARY rental increase on your 5th month, anniversary, and then all the time after that... they complain about little stuff. I remember having my finger prints taken when I first moved in (unlike Public Storage) and a few months after I moved in another tenant was complaining about WHY it is they even take fingerprints because when his storage unit was broken into, the police didn't even collect fingerprints.
