Hi! I was talking to a lady named AMY at the location 1227 E Hennepin Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55414 I signed up online and was able to get ahold of her once I called regarding my account and gate code I was able to verify my identity sending out a email of my ID and got help I said I wasn't able to make it to the storage space since I'm in the hospital recovering from a c section and I explained this to her and she was so understanding! Love Extra Space Storage. The place is clean. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful. The costs are transparent and the most reasonable in the Twin Cities. I signed up for a year and will renew for another year. You couldn't find a better place to store your treasures.
I have a unit at this location and just rented two more. The service was excellent and I have never had any issues at this location.

Some days are 5-star days at this Extra Space location, and some are 1-star days - so I settled at 3. Here's a +/- look at my experience over the past year: + When I've needed help with my storage unit door not opening, a team member was onsite and able to help me. - It took a total of three times because the issue kept happening, which was a bit frustrating. + It's a large facility with a few different entrances, a parking lot, and a few places you can pull your car into for loading - Currently, 2 of the 3 garage doors... read more

I like the multiple docks at this storage facility, it's made it really easy to move items in and out. The place is kept clean and the staff are friendly.

I have rented from another Extra Space Storage location in Minneapolis, and then I moved to this Northeast facility, and wow, it's a wildly different (improved!) experience. I believe this is a newer build, and it feels so -- very clean and organized. When I was choosing a unit to rent, Kirsten, the manager, was fantastic to work with. I had stored items here for a little over a year. Everything stayed in good condition, no insect or rodent damage, and the temperature control was great. Going in, I always thought it was very safe with the security available. Overall, a great experience.

This place scammed us out of tons of money, was dishonest and our belongings were stolen. We do not recommend this storage facility.

Only a few months in and they doubled the rental - effective the next billing cycle. I was a sure it was an error, but indeed it was correct. They flat out declined my request for them to honor the current published rate. I would not recommend Extra Space Storage.
