The extra space storage facility in Lincolnwood is very well-maintained. I want to give a shout out to Melissa and the professionalism she provided during my move-in.

As if moving itself wasn't stressful enough already, the last thing you'd want to worry about is where you are going to store all your things during the transition between homes. That was the situation for me, with lots of unknowns on where we'd be next week, the next month, and for how long in limbo. They're so bitter here and don't work with their rates even renting months at a time. If you can speak to someone else besides Zach it would be best.

Increased my rate to double the price without warning. I'm aware of price increases as I have 4 other units at different locations but never double! Also, they won't adjust the price for moving out early due to the price increase.
Terrible. Please, read this and other negative reviews and do not store your belongings here. Two big problems: (1) We rented two storage units. The prices for both units almost doubled in less than three months. This is price gouging. (2) One of the units had both water and pest damage in it. When we removed our belongings, after two months of storage during the spring, we found mouse droppings everywhere (we'd had a few wicker baskets in the unit, and the mice feasted on them). Will ruthlessly increase your rent frequently. Will o ly keep the initial rate for time that you prepay. Look elsewhere and lock in a rent amount.

Just received a notice in the mail that my rate is going to be DOUBLED. Actually its going to be going down to ZERO. Doubling my rate and your company expects my continued business? That might be one of the silliest things I've heard all year. Beware of promotional rates and subsequent massive price increases. When I signed up I had no idea I was getting any kind of promotional rate. It was only after three months when I learned that I was getting smacked with a 20% price increase during the height of one of the worst recessions since the Great Depression. Of course, given the cost of moving all the stuff I have in a 15x15 unit far outweighs the cost of the increase, these folks know I'm highly unlikely to leave and when I called them out on it, they didn't see... read more
