My monthly rate went from $95 to $170 for a 10 x10. They claim they mailed me a letter but it went to my old address and I'm sure it was returned to them as 'undeliverable'. They failed to call or email me to notify me of this 75% rate increase. In many states this is considered price gouging. While Colorado hasn't made price gouging straight up illegal, the AG's office told me there is a mechanism in the current consumer laws that allows his office to address price gouging cases as a civil offense with monetary fines. I had a great review on here before the business changed its name/management, and the whole listing must've been taken off. I'm a little upset because the 10 x 15 unit that we always had was $40, and now is $102 this month upon renewal. I am puzzled as to why there was a 3 fold increase in my unit during this time. If it comes up, yes I have the right location, Extra Storage on 197 Inverness Drive West. I'm very sad that I won't be able to renew my storage. Multiple break-ins over multiple nights occurred at this facility. Units trashed and items missing. Several angry customers. Office states they have video cameras but they are useless. Noticed this property has been full of trash and food smashed on the back doors of the building for weeks. Hallways are dirty. This is not a safe and secure location. Please take your business somewhere else.
