Back in the the game!!! and better than ever thanks God first and this amazing doctor. Almost 2 years of a Double Hip Replacement and I am pain free 100% and more active than ever.... Excellent professional!!!!! I never imaging that even thought I was super overweight, He was able to do my double hip replacement perfectly done.
Last month I had a one-year check-up with Dr. Friedrich Boettner, an orthopedic surgeon, at the Hospital For Special Surgery. He performed Unicondylar/Partial Knee Replacement on my knees. It took some persuasion on my part to convince him to do the surgery on both my knees at the same time, as I was 84 years of age. It was the best decision I could have made, as the surgery was extremely successful. I was able to return home from Burke Rehab and walk without a walker or a cane. Part 1
Changed my life. No more pain. Excellent surgeon. 2 total hip replacements. So,glad I picked Dr. Boettner
Dr. Boettner knows how to solve difficult issues.
I want to thank you for giving me my life back. Two years ago I was in the best shape of my life. Unfortunately it came to an end due to bad pain in the groin area. When I was told I needed a double hip replacement I never thought I could kickbox again. To my surprise I was hitting the bag three months after my right hip was replaced. One year later you replaced my left hip and 6 weeks post op I await my return to the gym. I am the bionic women and nothing can stop me now. Thank you again!
Had bilat THR and couldn't have been more pleased
Three years post hip replacement and my left hip is worse than than ever. During a follow up visit he handed me a card with three exercises and helped me walk to the exit. If you want a successful outcome go elsewhere.
He performed the surgery satisfactorily. Recovery was standard. BUT, his personality and degree of empathy is horrendous!!!!! First follow-up visit after 25 days he screamed 'you're not far enough along' and put me in a corner chair and forced my thigh into my chest while I screamed for someone to help me. I was still stoned on OXY and he required it whenever I was awake. If I had beed clear headed I would have broken his nose! Knee replacement is no longer rocket science. Find someone else...
I have now had 2 hips replaced by Dr Boettner & he is excellent but was just told by his office that he is no longer accepting Medicare! I feel that is elitist & wrong because the majority of patients who need joint replacements are on fixed incomes! When I expressed this to his office staff I was told that the follow up visits would still be at a reduced rate of $200 to which I answered that is too much when your insurance co-pay was $15 & it just shows how much he is out of touch with normal people to think that is accepta... read more
