I brought my kitty here who was very ill. Dr. Tomilson did all that he could for my baby, but it was her time. The staff has been amazing and supportive through all of the hospitalizations and thru the final transition. They made me feel like a human and went over all of our options thoroughly. They also did not charge as much as other vet offices. I found them to be very affordable. Especially after over $3k at CvETS. Cailey & Becca have been amazing, specifically. We've been going to Garners Ferry Animal Hospital for about 5 years now. Very satisfied with all of the staff. The front desk ladies are always super accommodating and get us in to be seen very quickly. The wait time at visits is minimal. I love both of the vets there. We unfortunately had to put our Golden Retriever down last fall, and the younger vet was super sympathetic and made a very emotional time much more bearable. We have been coming here for years. My Bride and I both loved Dr. Cheatham and were concerned when he began to scale back and talk of retirement. When you talk about our Dog, my wife puts God first and then the Dog..... I come in somewhere under children and grandchildren so the transition to a new Vet bothered my Bride. She didn't have anything to worry about, Dr. Hendrix has been just great. He takes the time to talk through the issues and understands the connection between owners and their pets. We've been coming here with our animals for years! We've always had wonderful service. We've used Dr.Cheatham when he owned the place. Now we deal with Dr, Hendrix. I've never doubted the care and love my animals have received. My dog has been going through a lot lately, and the staff couldn't be more helpful. I highly recommend them to anybody looking for a good Veterinarian. In my opinion this is the best vet in town!

I didn't know it was possible for a dog to love going to the vet. I recently moved and wish I could have taken this place with me. My dog would recognize when we were close to the vet and get crazy excited. She would run in and greet every person that works there. They were always so kind to her and she had a blast when I would board her. The boarding is extremely reasonably priced, as are their vet services. We got evacuated from Folly Beach due to Hurricane Matthew. We scrambled to get some CD cat food before leaving town and the only one we could get our cat refuses to eat. When arriving in Columbia I spoke with Alicia and she had samples to give me because the food is prescription. It was great to know that not being from town someone local would help me out with food for my cat in our time of need. I find the staff at this office very helpful, and the doctors are incredible. I've had numerous visits for my pets: euthanizing an old and sick pup, adopting a new cat, treating illness in another dog, and a wellness check for a newly adopted pup as well (which led to discovering a treatable skin condition thanks to the examination). They know me by name when I call, and they always charge fair prices for top notch service. Nope, go somewhere else. My old cat was throwing up her food so I took her in and they said they needed "an xray and blood work." They took two xrays, bloodwork and I left there spending $660 dollars. I was never asked to approve the cost of anything. They gave her oral pill antibiotics for a UTI ($660 for a UTI that they could have figured out was the issue instead of doing bloodwork and 2 xrays). I only consented to 1 xray.
