I have had two of my children in braces and I have to say that Dr. Garrett and his staff are superb. The front office is so friendly and always willing to help. His technicians are so knowledgeable and gentle and always smiling. We have been patients for the last two years and I feel that the treatment my children received is top notch. In terms of straightening teeth, we have generally been satisfied with the result. But in terms of attention to comprehensive oral health care, we feel there could be considerable improvement. I recognize and completely understand that your role is not restorative in nature. However, kids in braces are seen much more frequently at your office than they are at the general dentist (once a month vs. every 6 months). Tanner was treated by a new asst. she left the room several times to ask for advice. he is currently in pain with a large sore spot forming in the back corner lower jaw on the cheek. he was told to just deal with it

I was frustrated because at the appointment previous to this one, I had been told that this appt would be an evaluation appt where Dr. Garrett would speak with me (the parent) about where things were at with my son's treatment and when Dr. Garrett felt it would be appropriate for my son's braces to be removed. I was also told that because it was an evaluation appt, it had to be scheduled in the morning, and not the afternoon (because evaluation appointments were only scheduled in the morning).
