The gal up front on the right is a gem! Great customer service and not lazy to check insurance for you regarding moneys; long appointment wait but worth it. Dr F Nguyen is very detailed with past and present information regarding procedures that was done including time frames, taking several X-rays, measuring, has assistant write down everything in great detail with pros and cons (everything said aloud) to determine the best plan of action. I had an excellent experience at Gentle Dental in Fresno. The entire team went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable throughout my visits and truly cared about the condition of my teeth and overall experience. They worked really hard on my teeth and helped address the issues I was dealing with. I had a deep cleaning done, and it was handled very professionally and with great care. Dr. Mallela has been my dentist for a several years. He has great bedside manner and is a great doctor with true skill. He is so calm and kind. My crowns look like my actual teeth! (A new experience, he even replaced my old crowns). Perfect color match and comfortable - going strong for 2 years now. He was able to do a ceramic filling on a tooth that multiple 3 other dentists did patchwork on. Also, I've never had a more through exam before. Thank you for taking excellent care of my teeth, Dr. Mallela!
This is the best dentist to go to. I have been going here for 8 years, and I always go to Ellen Nelson every time. She is amazing and very thorough with her work. Always gets me in and out, and is very patient with me which is very important for me. Including the front desk is very respectful and kind everytime as well!
Corrine was so friendly and very welcoming from the moment I met her . I was picking up my partial's and the top ones were uncomfortable and Corrine made some adjustments to them and every time after she made sure they were comfortable and not hurting me. It took about 30 minutes & about 100 tries but Corrine was so patient and was still kind throughout the process. She made me feel important and let me add that I have social anxiety but with her I was so comfortable that's how nice she was and she's great at what she does .... read more

Gentle Dental is the Freakin' Bomb! Not only did Dr. Malela re-examine my x-rays and give me a second exam, he also did the crown prep. ALSO, the same evening, the Dr. CALLED ME HIMSELF! I couldn't believe it. I will continue to go there. And I get way more coverage from my insurance than I do with a PPO. The office staff are friendly, professional and accommodating. After reading some of these reviews I was apprehensive about my scheduled appointment. My teeth needed a lot of work. The staff here confirmed that, and set up a schedule to get things corrected. I had a series of appointments and never had to wait. The office staff was helpful and easy to contact. They always called me back when they said they would. Dr. Mellia called me after each visit to see how things were going. All in all I think they did a great job, and will return for future dental needs.
Highest possible rating! Clean, friendly, state of the art and GENTLE says it all. Dr. Mallela is a great Dentist-caring and concerned during and after treatment. Absolutely painless with 4 crown replacements on my worn front teeth. Looks great and NO PAIN. Called me a few days after to check on my condition. He and his Hygienist-Ellen work together seamlessly and professionally. Last but certainly not least, Jessica at the front desk made my financial arrangements painless as well. Don't fear this dentist.
Dr. Mellia is a very kind and patient dentist... the rest of the crew rocks ... can't imagine going any place else than gentle dental...
