I was seriously considering switching dentists after my recent experiences, but my appointment today with Barbara completely changed my mind. In the past i dislike going to the dentist. However Barbara made me Excited about coming back the next day. She was very attentive and explained What was going on And what I can expect. Thanks, Barbara you made my dentist experience great!
I called in and got an appointment for the next day which would be my first visit. During that appointment the office staff, dental assistant or hygienist, and doctor were all outstanding. They made me feel comfortable and confident in the care I was receiving. The dental assistant or hygienist was especially kind, friendly, and professional. I have decided to make them my permanent team for my dental care.
I have waited for this day to write this review to explain my multiple bad experiences with this place. As a state educator, this was the only place I could go under my SEBB. I drove 18 miles here each way because it was what was offered at the time. My first visit, the hygienist was rude and told me "its supposed to hurt". Clearly no one read the long profile I was made to fill out where I discussed my dental anxiety. I had been ill for the last few months with pneumonia and sinus infections. Multiple doctors and hospitals said they just thought it was bad luck. However, with the help of the Gentle Dental Lakewood staff, they noticed I had an abscess under a tooth. I am utterly grateful they caught this, as it could have turned into something much more serious! They are very kind, attentive, and thorough.
