I had a great day at the dentist’s office today. Previously dealing with other providers and insurance representatives had me bracing for the worst yesterday at Mount Vernon’s Gentle Dental clinic. I brought evidence from my insurance provider that I was overcharged. The office swung into overdrive. Even though I arrived prepared to pay more than a thousand dollars, I left with one hundred and fifty dollar credit! Thank you Gentle Dental clinic for your customer care commitment. I went online to make an appointment over two months ago. I had an appointment confirmed for Friday may 16th. I recieved numerous notifications leading up to today that confirmed this date (via email and text). I arrived today at my appointment time to find a locked door. I knocked for a few minutes until a receptionist came out and let me know that they weren't open on friday.... so there was/IS an error with their scheduling software. Totally unprofessional. these people are amazing!! I'm a recovering drug addict and have neglected my teeth for years. Not being able to smile and being embarrassed of my teeth is something that has affected my quality of life on a daily basis. The staff at Gentle Dental were so kind and respectful and made me feel so comfortable which was such a positive experience. I felt no judgment or stigma and I will never go to another dentist again. I can smile again thank you!!
The only good thing i can say is I'm glad it's over. From the dentist to the office staff it was a bad experience. The only decent person there is Tawnya, may have spelled that wrong, the dental assistant. Dentist is incompetent, office staff have no idea what they are doing.
Everyone here has been amazing and so kind. They put me at easy every time. The front office staff, dental assistants, and dentist… everyone is great.
