Brilliant experience from start to finish. She knows a lot of us curlies have experienced trauma going to a hairdresser either as a child or adult but fear not, it will be one of the most laid back haircuts ever. I had my first curly cut today on my wavy hair. Had a very relaxed experience. Just me and Vikki, none of the usually stressful noises and chatter and hairdryers from a traditional salon. I am deaf so this was a massive anxiety relief to me. First salon cut for 6 years, left with lots of information on how to get the best of of my hair, and new found confidence with it. Imagine getting your hair cut by a best friend? That's how I feel. A lovely, genuine welcome at the door. Refreshments offered straight away. So knowledgeable and professional. But friendly. Recently had my 3rd curly cut with Vikki and wow what an amazing job she does of my hair each time. In Vikki's words "your like, this is me now your first cut was wow" which couldn't be more true. I hated my curls but after my first ever curly cut I was so emotional nearly crying with happiness on my way back to the train home. First trip to the hairdresser in basically my entire adult life after being completely put off by bad experiences as a child with unruly frizzy hair (frizzy because nobody could figure out how to help it be curly).
