Had an unfortunate and very disturbing experience with the staff at GAV yesterday afternoon. They would not provide my pup access to flea and heart worm medication unless I brought her in for a checkup. Impossible to get a person on the phone to make an appointment. I've tried several times over the past month, waited on hold 45 minutes and were hung up on more than once. The online appointment system does not work either.

We work extremely hard to fit our patients into the schedule in a way that we still provide excellent care. We are not able to overbook our schedule to the point where we not longer provide good care, or overwork our medical team to the point of fatigue. We will take your comment to heart and we wish you and your pets nothing but the best.
I had the same concerns that another reviewer had in terms of appoints. My cat was ill and as a long time client, was told I would have to wait 3-4 weeks for an appoint. Luckily in 24 hours, they were able to fit me into the schedule the following day. However, I felt rushed during the exam. I am now thinking of changing to another vet. I suggest GAVH take a hard look at their business management plan. Or else loose more clients.

Sadly, it is difficult to recommend Greater Annapolis Veterinary Hospital at this time. After being a loyal client for many years with multiple pets, some of whom GAVH helped through their last days, I find that it is no longer possible to get an appointment without waiting several weeks, even when a current pet patient is ill. Blaming the pandemic is an inappropriate cop out for poor business practices. It saddens us that you feel you can no longer recommend us. We have been working incredibly hard to keep up with the recent increase in demand for pet care. To replace our longtime clients with new clients would be a terrible business practice, it seems there was a misunderstanding. Our clients and their pets are extremely important to us.
There is no place I trust more with my pets! We are moving south by 2 hours... changing our doctors... but will NOT be giving up our VETS! There is no group of professionals will care for your pets more than these people.
