Had an unfortunate and very disturbing experience with the staff at GAV yesterday afternoon. They would not provide my pup access to flea and heart worm medication unless I brought her in for a checkup. For certain my pup is due for one but she’s currently out of state and to allow her to possibly get fleas or miss her heart worm meds knowing they are the only ones who can provide it? Impossible to get a person on the phone to make an appointment. I've tried several times over the past month, waited on hold 45 minutes and were hung up on more than once. The online appointment system does not work either.
Horrible customer service
I had the same concerns that another reviewer had in terms of appoints. My cat was ill and as a long time client, was told I would have to wait 3-4 weeks for an appoint. Luckily in 24 hours, they were able to fit me into the schedule the following day. However, I felt rushed during the exam. I am now thinking of changing to another vet. I suggest GAVH take a hard look at their business management plan. Or else loose more clients.
Sadly, it is difficult to recommend Greater Annapolis Veterinary Hospital at this time. After being a loyal client for many years with multiple pets, some of whom GAVH helped through their last days, I find that it is no longer possible to get an appointment without waiting several weeks, even when a current pet patient is ill. Blaming the pandemic is an inappropriate cop out for poor business practices. There is no place I trust more with my pets! We are moving south by 2 hours... changing our doctors... but will NOT be giving up our VETS! There is no group of professionals will care for your pets more than these people.
I am not surprised, so many reviews posted and not one mentions Dr. Keegan. I can only speak in regards to our experience with her. I must say we are extremely disappointed in the care she gave our dog. He was on meds for an autoimmune disorder that he had previously been diagnosed with approx 3 weeks prior by emergency vet on Bestgate Road, so his immune system was very vulnerable.
