Wait staff was goos, environment was great, and the food even better. Our waiter helped with suggestions and they were amazing as well! Definitely plan on returning.

Have had pickle brine chicken on several occasions and is a fav. Sadly, last night was a grilled chicken with bacon sandwich. Very disappointing. Also, green beans with meatloaf were stone cold.

We came to Grindstone on the Monon off-peak thinking we would have an area to ourselves and could enjoy each other‘s conversations. We had a reservation as well. Unfortunately, it was not what we expected at all. We were placed in the front corner of the restaurant by the kitchen door. Every table was taken and it was very loud and a thoroughfare for other restaurant guests to get to the front door. We were disappointed to say the least. Food was good at best. Would definitely go back next time we are in town. Meatloaf was good, filet slider was excellent as were the sweet potato fries. Their in house water is amazing. Wish they would sell it.

They saved us a booth because I put that in the notes of my reservation. So nice! The waitress was also very nice, but you could tell she was VERY busy and felt rushed. The food was also just very average. We wanted to try a new place, and it wasn’t a bad experience. However, we probably won’t go back again.
