We had stumbled upon Grindstone while friends were in town. What a great find!! Highly recommend the crab crusted salmon, grindstone burger, jambalaya pasta & the blackberry Jalapeño margarita!!! The service was fantastic as well.

We were a party of five, and we had a variety of dishes. Everything was great. However, the steak was overcooked. The server at least acknowledged it!

...a Saturday night supper that was not only delicious but nicely presented and well-managed by the server! Our cocktails came out immediately, but we were not rushed in deciding what to order, despite the fact that there were many diners there on Saturday night. The dining room was understandably a bit noisy, but still quiet enough for good conversation. Would return any time-- and it helped to have a reservation.

Started with crab dip which was scrumptious. I had the tenderloin dinner and my friend had the chicken and noodles. Both were excellent.

We were celebrating two birthdays and there were 8 of us. Our server, Kyle was wonderful. He took excellent care of us, was attentive and very professional at all times. We enjoyed our dinners and appreciated being able to have all of us at one table. Grindstones was a win for us!

Nice place on the Monon! Hadn’t visited before, and Grindstone exceeded expectations. Good drinks. Very tasty cheese curds. Highlight of my evening was the Indiana Hot Plate. Crispy and well seasoned tenderloin with green beans and mashed potatoes. Gravy to top it off. Didn’t even feel too heavy - just delicious. Will be back!

I met with friends from college whom I haven't seen in 37 years. The atmosphere was perfect for a small reunion. The menu of comfort food was wonderful! Our server was friendly and attentive without hovering. The restaurant was accessible to my friend who needed special seating. We each ordered something different, and all commented that the food was delicious. Grindstone added to the specialness of our reunion!

Our only comment is that restaurant is always freezing! Every time we go. Obviously we like the spot but be prepared. Bring your coat and mittens.
