WHO WE ARE Growing up in Indiana is a privilege. Our love is growing unique restaurants in the Midwest. It’s our roots. It’s in our DNA. It’s tradition. It’s family, and it’s hard work. We come by it naturally though. After all, it started through the generations with our father & grandfather, Carl Fogelsong. A man who initially executed his vision and was eventually named to the Indiana Restaurant Hall of Fame. We went to Grindstone on the Monon for my husbands birthday. GREAT experience :)
Good food and service as always.
Four of us went out for dinner. Service was great. Food was delicious. We enjoyed the salmon salad, pork tenderloin, burger, and fried chicken salad. Atmosphere is fun as well.
Such a quaint little restaurant! Everything was very clean. Service was impeccable and the waitstaff so friendly. And the food was amazing!
They have some of the best ribs in town. Moist, well seasoned. Barbecue sauce isn't too sweet. Baked potatoes were decent sized, hot out of the kitchen. Only complaint is that a regular salad is considered a "premium side" and adds an additional $2.
Your restaurant was the first pick of our granddaughter and our first time there. We were pleasantly surprised by a variety of different items on the menu. The service was fast and the food was hot and tasty.
I ordered a patty melt and a side salad. The salad was great! The patty melt was disappointing. The bread was excellent, but the hamburger was dry and didn’t seem fresh. It seemed like an ordinary, frozen burger you would get at a fast food place.
Hamburgers were small Pattie’s similar to McDonalds.
We had the baked rigatoni. Had a great cream sauce on it vs the tomato/pasta sauce that is with their sister restaurant. They are VERY liberal with the cheese, which was great. We both added a side salad... although good size, not sure it was worth $6. Needs some bread with the meal. That sauce was too good not to sop up with a good crusty French bread! Will definitely order again! The place was busy! We've been there when it was that busy at 8pm on a Friday night.
