chef George knows how to cook a burger to medium rare. Enjoy the fact that he brings the food to the table a lot of the time. The wild mushroom swiss burger is fantastic.

I ordered the fish and chips. The fish was crispy on the outside and light and flaky on the inside. In other words, perfect. The fries were seasoned just right. Tyler was our waitperson and he was the right amount of attentiveness!

We ate here last night at 5:30. We met up with a friend from college, who we hadn't seen in over 30 years. The food was very good overall, but my husband had the Manhattan and said it was just ok. I had the cod with carrots and couscous, which was very delicious. The noise level was pretty high. Any higher and it would have been difficult to have a nice conversation. The service was fantastic! I really liked the decor. Overall, we had a really great time!

This was our first time at Grindstone at the Monon. We got there before the dinner rush so we were a little leery since it was pretty empty and quiet. There were a couple servers that walked by and no one said anything to us, but our server did come by after about 5ish minutes and he was really great (Brad), super friendly, and on top of everything even as the restaurant got busy with the dinner rush. Very much enjoyed my short ribs, although not the best I’ve ever had. My husband had seafood jambalaya that he said was delicious and our friends both enjoyed their Hoosier Hotplate, which involved a very large tenderloin. Our server was excellent and the food came out promptly and hot. There was live music that was ok but made conversation close to impossible. Great place for casual dining
