The new filet medallions were very small and over cooked. The value was not there. The peppercorn sauce also overpowers the taste of the steak. The new street corn is fantastic and a great addition to the menu. The new sweet bean old fashioned is just alright. It is not as good as the cherry cola old fashioned, which should be brought back. Overall the experience was nice, but there has been some changes that should not have been made.
The food was not warm when we received it and the service wasn't great either. We weren't asked if we wanted refills and our drinks were empty. My husband had to ask for another beverage, as weren't offered any type of refill.
Fantastic food, excellent service. Also they have a solid bourbon list.
Prompt courteous service in the bar. My husband has celiac disease and always feels comfortable eating here. He ordered the grilled fish tacos and was told the chips are fried in a shared fryer so he was able to get a different side item as they have a good selection of gluten free sides. Always enjoy the food and atmosphere. It’s a great hometown favorite.
The food was good, but I was double charged for my meal and caught it. I think the server should have reviewed before providing it to me.

2nd visit, this time with friends! Had an amazing visit! Stopped in about 3p on Memorial Day, made a reservation in case they got busy. No wait, no delay on service! Food was perfect & we were able to chat while eating!

We went for the Happy Hour menu which offers various sliders, tacos, etc. our server Tad, was excellent, attentive and friendly…. We always enjoy our experience at Grindstone!!!

So glad we made a reservation for dinner, as we were there during the Peony Festival and the place was extremely busy. Even though it was busy, we received great service and attention from our waiter. We were a party of four women, shared a plate of beef nachos, and each ordered a different entree. The steak (ordered well done) was one of the best and most moist steaks I've eaten. Our entrees consisted of steak, pasta, chicken, and pork tenderloin, and all were delicious.
