Took several weeks before knowledge off when house keeping, laundry, garbage is picked up. Was told rides to Dr appt. was given but not true. Never met primary physician with Blue stone and how to get RX Some meals are bad. I do like it here but there’s communication problems with employees. Need better orientation
This is not our first time in respite care. The location was convenient for our family, but I would not take him back there again. Response to call button was not timely. They were understaffed, and the quality and experience of the staff was often lacking. Lack of communication or miscommunication was another issue that was quite frustrating.
We toured this community and it was very elegant and inviting. The tour was good and the staff was very friendly. The price was on the high end of our scale so unfortunately, it didn't meet our needs at the time.
My brother in law was there in Enhanced assisted living and all I can say is DON'T but your loved here. The director of nursing was very rude. He would ring because he needed to be changed, they'd come in turn off his necklace that would let them know he needed something and then say they had to get someone to help. Hed sit in his dirty diaper for 20 minutes. If it was almost lunch he'd have to wait till after lunch. They are very short staffed. He ended up with a bedsore!!! This place was a nightmare. Be warned it is beautiful, rooms well maintained, eating areas are open, and it is easy to envision the one that you love living there. I get it when your parents or significant other is at that stage where assisted living is the only option all you want is a place that you can trust and is beautiful. Our experiences with this community has been okay. I'am having some issues with the head nurse. Also I'am not really happy with the some of the staff members. It is a nice and clean facility, they do a good job with the cleanliness. They do not offer many activities in the memory care unit, I wish there was more. I'am going to have care meeting with the assisted director, so we can work together to resolve things.
This review may be premature and hopefully things will improve at Heritage at Deer Creek. However, right now, I would have to give them a failing grade. They have a very poor system of allowing visitors in and out of the Memory Care unit. You push the doorbell and stand there forever waiting for someone to come and assist you. They really should have cameras set on both sides of the entrance and have someone monitoring the cameras so that they could push a button and allow the door to be opened.
