The past 4 years elementary here (2021 - 2025) I had to pack lunch for my daughter because no hot school lunch program provided like all other schools. There were 25 students from 1st grade to 4th grade, small classrooms, far less students compared with other private schools out there. There were 1 spelling notebook, 4 textbooks (1 for Math, 2 for English, 1 for science used only couple times) for 4th grade. Now my daughter is in big private school for 5th grade, she loves her new school with many classmates/friends (my daug... read more
Business response:
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're truly sorry to hear that your experience at Heritage did not meet your expectations. The safety, well-being, and academic growth of our students remain our top priorities, and we regret that you felt our program fell short in key areas. While many families value our smaller, personalized learning environment, we understand that every child thrives differently, and we’re glad to hear your daughter is now enjoying her new school setting. 98% of our students meet or e... read more
I'm very impressed at how clean and safe Heritage environment is, and how much thought and care Ms Shalane put into continuously create fun interactive events for the kids throughout the year. My son has been going here since he's 2 years old. The teachers not only teach him academically, but also very good and necessary social skills; makes my job easier at home raising him. We love and appreciate this school so much!
Our experience at Heritage has been nothing but positive. They make it a priority to keep you updated on your child's progress- the teachers are warm, caring, knowledgeable, and experienced. My son has made tremendous leaps in his communication abilities, life skills (how many times he's done something at home and I've been, "Where'd you learn how to do that?") and education. For my 2 year old, it's not just about education- the number of extracurricular events are wonderful! Halloween "Trunk or Treat", Winter Show (all t... read more
When my son was about to turn 2 years old, I first visited Heritage for a tour amongst about 8+ other schools in the area. As soon as my tour was over, I knew this was the school I wanted my child to attend, hands down from all the other schools. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get him a spot at that time, so I enrolled him in another nearby school. Four months later, I needed to change schools and revisited Heritage again. Thankfully, there was room to enroll my child almost immediately. This school is really extraordinary!... read more
Thank you Heritage Montessori for everything! My son has attended the school for 1 1/2 years now, mid-year Kindergarten to First Grade. He has learned a lot from the teachers. He stays for after school care and I usually can't pick him up until 5pm or later. He still has a lot of fun with his friends on the playground. The teacher usually take the kids outdoor for playtime or reading time. Somedays when I picked him up too early, he told me that he wasn't finished playing with his friends yet!!! That's when you know your ki... read more
My daughter started with HMS in August 2020, right after the height of the pandemic and at a time where we reached our limit in teaching her at home and working full time. It was stressful and scary to search for a place that we wanted to trust her with (both educationally and physically given the pandemic). I can say with all honesty that my daughter has FLOURISHED while being at HMS. Her teacher, Ms. Cathy, is wonderful and my daughter speaks of her everyday. When I have questions or concerns I email the school and Miss Sh... read more
We had both of our older kids enrolled in HMS before the pandemic and loved it. Our daughter started going when she was as 2.5 and she is now 6. We had to withdraw during the pandemic, and the school was understanding and nice about it. We noticed that they have taken great pains during the pandemic, and we have heard from current parents how great of a job they are doing. We are trying to re-enroll now, but they have a long waiting list which is totally understandable. Would recommend hands down among all the local preschoo... read more
As a professor with several graduate degrees including a PhD, education has always been very important to me. When it came time to select a school for my son, I researched all of the public and private schools in the surrounding area. I also toured dozens of schools and attended many open houses before deciding to enroll him at Heritage Montessori. He is now in his second year at Heritage and I could not be more pleased with my decision. The teachers continuously strive to create a nurturing and caring environment while also... read more
My son just started at HMS in Class 1 in September and we have been very happy with the teachers, staff and curriculum. I've noticed a significant difference in my son's communication skills and how he socializes with others. He cried his first week of school but his teachers did a great job of making him feel welcome and comfortable and he now looks forward to school. He loves his Class 1 teacher as talks about her all the time. HMS also texted me pictures of him throughout his first day to keep me updated on his progress a... read more
