Great printer. Compared to all of the ink jet printers that I have owned and all of the problems they created, having to replace 5 cartridges because one was out of ink and not being able to even print in black and white, I had enough. Bought this printer. Now, I hit print and it prints. Since I do mostly documents, it is all I need. If I want to print photos, I log into my Walmart account and send some prints to the store for printing. (although I haven't been doing that recently)
What I liked most about this printer was the toner vs printer pricing. Toner is less than 50% cost of a new printer which is not the case with other brands. Installation was simple. Toughest part was getting my network to recognize the printer. Quick printing. Good quality printouts. Works from phone

Works great. Fast easy wireless setup, good print quality. takes 30-45 seconds for first/single page printing.
Quick easy setup with windows laptop. Have since also installed Brother app on ipad and it usually prints, but sometimes gets stuck on "sending data." When that happens there is no fixing it, just get out the old Canon inkjet. Then next time it might work fine. There is a problem with print quality especially in pdf graphics mode. I printed out a shipping label from USPS and it looked like it was printed with a 1980's vintage dot matrix printer with a dry ribbon. The post office bar code reader could not read it. I love this printer. I replaced a troublesome (ink, chips in ink, drama, drama) color printer with this simple, black, toner that lasts forever model. Easy set up. Wireless printing from my phone, iPad, laptop. I'm working from home now due to COVID 19. I'm SO glad to have this printer.
