Faster than I even expected. Went from 42 ppm ... Faster than I even expected. Went from 42 ppm to this 48 ppm (both advertised, not tested by me). Hopefully will last a long time as well.
I followed the directions and had a trouble-free installation I bought this to replace my 4 year old Brother B&W laser that needed a new drum after almost 30,000 pages (so print quality had degraded). It was also starting to have paper jams when printing pages with large images. I didn't think a new drum would fix page feeding problems so I bought a new printer that had its own new drum. Five Stars Perfect machine for my office!
love it Great b/w laser printer for the office. It's reliable; prints fast and easy to operate for a good price. For the office, I've always like Brother printers over other brands.

This is by far the best printer I've owned So I'm a solo practitioner as a lawyer and have been for 21 years. This is by far the best printer I've owned. The volume of paper it holds, the quality print, the speed of the print is fantastic. My only complaint so far is that the envelope feed for single envelopes is a bit dicey as you just lay it on the feeder and hope it goes in square. That said, it's the best printer I've had. Cheers!
Good printer I've only used this for a week in my law practice. It is considerably faster and with better text quality than my old HP P2055dn. it prints pdfs on my Mac quickly and with no issues. For some printers, pdfs take an age on a Mac, where a Word document prints just fine. No rhyme nor reason. The Brother is a bit loud during printing, but I noticed that for about the first 15 minutes. Now I don't hear it at all.
