Very very satisfied I received this printer yesterday and it was amazingly simple to set up. In fact, all I did was plug it in and put the included disc into my desktop. The printer actually set itself up by finding my wifi itself and all I had to do was click "ok." I then went downstairs to my laptop to test its wifi abilities. I pulled up a document on my laptop and clicked "print" and my new printer was already there on the screen. I clicked "print" again and heard my new printer upstairs begin printing. Almost perfect I am a teacher and having this at my disposal has been a lifesaver. I've used it for a few weeks now and it prints fast with great quality. I just replaced my first cartridge today without any issues. My only complaint is it indents a crease in the paper, I can only assume is caused by one of the rollers.
Unbelievable value When my primary work printer (an HP m604n laserjet) developed an issue with the feeding tray on the front, I decided to try this as a secondary printer while I send the HP off to be repaired. Both printers have very similar specifications. This Brother prints at 48 ppm and the HP prints at 52 ppm. Both hold just over 500 sheets in the main tray. Both are wireless enterprise printers. Both can take high yield cartridges. However, the HP costs $750+ compared to this Brother that I snagged on Amazon for $174!... read more
A loud printer with solid basic automatic duplex printing I have had a Brother HL-2170-W for 8 years and love it. It has been very reliable. The duplex feature, however, requried that I get up, turn the paper around, and re-insert it in order to print double sided pages. I was tired of that and wanted a printer with truly automated duplex printing. This Brother printer (the HL-L6200DW), so far, prints well and does true automated duplex printing. A printer that does its job. EXTREMELY WELL. We needed a printer for our home office, no frills but FAST and trouble free. We found it. This is it. 48 pages per minute, huge paper tray, crisp print quality, Wi-Fi. The huge capacity toner prints 12,000 pages per cartridge, so we only buy one per year. It's definitely a work horse. Just what we needed.
