I miss my HP output quality This printer is fast and has features that I like but the output quality is less than I have been accustomed to with my HP laser jet printers. Setup was easy, and it has the larger paper tray, double sided printing, and wireless capability that I wanted. Yet the print quality suffers. Good reliable printer Has USB and RJ45 network and wireless network capabilities. HP LaserJet compatible too for those looking for that feature in a printer as in specific turnkey applications.
Reliable inexpensive small office printer Good print quality with toner cartridges that are long lasting and inexpensive. Knocked off one star because it is a bit of a power hog.
Durable but loud This is about the same size as the last Brother printer I had that gave up the ghost. This one takes awhile to import info and ready the machine but then will process double sided quite quickly. Caveat, there is no delay between pages but is delay between printing jobs. This is for offices, I am using as consumer and expect it to be reliable for a long time.

great purchase Brother has thought of everything, down to a special bag with handles to make it easy to pull the printer out of the shipping box. Initial setup is clear, easy and clean, with no messy toner seal to remove. Great Printer for the Price Very happy with this purchase. Easy to set up and great printing quality. My favorite thing about Brother printers is their durability/longevity and the (relatively) affordable cost to operate - the toner is pretty reasonable compared to some other brands.
Print quality is marginal My former printer had much better text printing. Text produced from this printer appears to be of inferior quality. There are three settings including 600 dpi, 1200 dpi and high quality 1200 dpi which all appears rather faint. a workaround could be "bold" feature but that does not exist nor would I be particularly happy that this would be required to create a decent text document. It is quick and relatively quiet.
