Perfect sharp black printing, read on about the grainy effect some have mentioned. Great printer. I have it connected to my home network, and we can all print easily from anywhere in the house or property. The brother iPrint app is a bit slow to load documents on our android phones, but is a great timesaver over resending documents to an email address, and then going to the computer to download and print off. Nice buy from Amazon Warehouse. This is a good printer but it does not print single envelopes easily. It was a purchase from Amazon Warehouse, and one of the good ones where packing was intact and the unit worked perfectly.
I like it so far. I've had it for a couple weeks. Works very well and much faster than my previous Brother printer. Being able to put a full ream of paper in each drawer is really nice too. Always been kind of a pain to have a half ream of paper sitting on a shelf somewhere.
Rock solid Wifi with good monochrome printing Prints fine from Win 7 and Win 8.1 laptops and from my Linux Mint desktop. Rock solid on WiFi, printer reconnects itself automatically after WiFi goes down. It does dim the room lights when it starts up to print. There are no bright lights visible at night when printer is asleep. Only small green WiFi light stays on. I've had recent computer equipment that had to be covered at night. Not this one.
