What a brilliant, brilliant What a brilliant, brilliant, brilliant machine. Had it plugged in, attached to WiFi and running in 5 minutes. First page only printed half of the page, took the cartridges out and shook them to settle the ink granules (I'm sure all the ink was on one side from shipping) and no issues. Even has paper handling to print 2 sided. Best value period for great print quality! 5th brother printer, these are hard to beat for the $$. They last us 4/5 yrs in business setting within they’re page rating and they perform. End of life not worth fixing we order new ones!
It has been a good printer so far It has been a good printer so far. Setup was easy. The only criticism I have is that it is a little slow to come out of sleep mode to print.
Skip The First Step of the Quick Setup Guide (Unpack the machine and check the components). I've only had the printer less than a day, but if first impressions mean anything, it doesn't bode well. The Quick Setup Guide looks like it was written by someone who has never setup the printer. It starts by telling you to unpack the machine and check the components. Great, the only problem is that if you use ... Great, the only problem is that if you use the default windows driver the duplex when enabled is always on the short edge. Installing the brother's driver fixed that but I had to open a ticket to get that info, and there was nothing about it in their FAQ and some how I don't think I was the first to encounter that problem. The printer however is great.
