RecommendedEvery time I have been up there these vets and their staff have always helped me, given me their honest opinions, kept within my budget while still doing everything possible and are always available just for questions or concerns. I have never seen such a loving and caring staff out of all the vet offices I have been to. From the vets to the vet techs to the receptionists, you could feel the sympathy they have for the poor animals. I would rather go to them than anyone else now. Thank you VETTS for the prompt, professional and compassionate care you extended to me and my fellow LHS (Louisa Humane society) volunteer today with our double emergency. my daughter used them when her poor dill got so ill and after many visits had to make the tough decision to put him to sleep. they were the best staff in the world to her when she had to make the tough decision so far from her family on her own for the first time. we were so glad for the compassionate care she received from all the staff there and knew that dill and her were in good hands with every visit they made there. she knows where to go with all her animal needs in the future and we would recommend this place to anyon... read more
Took one of our cats in for a routine wellness check. This was our first visit here. We came here because of Dr. DiCarlo. Everyone was really nice!
Everyone in the office is so compassionate. They were able to care for our sweet little piggy as if she were their own. I highly recommend them.
We initially used these guys as emergency vets, but soon realized that they are one of a kind! From the time you walk through their door until you leave, you are met with smiles, compassion, intelligence and thoughtfulness. We have seen just about all the vets and vet techs and have never been disappointed. The receptionists/intake are out of this world too! They are now our our everyday vets. (We have 3 dogs.)
I cannot say enough about this place. They went above and beyond to save my beloved Patty. We traveled all the way from Richmond for their services I was turned away by numerous emergency vets here in Richmond. VETSS took my green cheek conure into their care without hesitation. She had teflon posioning which has a very high mortality rate. I was not expecting my baby to survive. We visited twice. Once after my dog impaled himself with a tree branch. He had to have emergency surgery. Dr. McKenna was very sincere and capable and took great care of my dog. Fast forward 1 year and three month, and both my dogs got into our Christmas raisin cookies. Again, Dr. McKenna was there and saved my dogs. The staff is super friendly and capable! Any pets are in great hands at VETSS.
