I wish I could respond to these old reviews. Because God, if it isn't verbatim what I would write about this woman. I was supposed to get my ADHD evaluated today. I’d emailed her office the 24-page self-evaluation forms and bloodwork from my PCP, as soon as I got off our first Zoom together (two weeks ago). By far the worst experience i've ever had with a doctor. The first time I visited she told me to completely change my diet to cut out gluten and dairy without even asking what type of diet I was on and within minutes of meeting me. It was off putting and very out of context when she was not aware of my nutritional needs. The second appointment she did not tell me until after the session started she did not actually have my test results and we would need to reschedule. Dr. Puri is a drug dealer. She knows that her patient is seeing another Doctor and she still feeds him Ritalin. She has no issues charging the patient cash to see her and keep it off the "books". Tell me why would a Doctor prescribe Ritalin to an Alcoholic as a first option. I wish the American Medical Association would investigate her. Stay away unless you want lots of drugs and advise on dieting.
I absolutely would not see Dr.Puri. She put me on this medicine that really didn't help me and quite frankly, prescribes whatever you want even if you don't have the condition. If you mention you're feeling unfocused, you get Ritalin and not too much explanation on how serious this medication it. You feel sleepy, here's this sleep medicine and no explanation on how out of it it might make you feel. The office staff is rude and unresponsive, office is dirty. Dr. is focused on her notes and time, condescending if you have questions about her suggestions for medications, focuses on diet and suggestions are reasonable but makes you feel like a "regular" diet is the reason you have issues (autism) and could be healthier with a gluten free diet and yet has not suggested testing for allergies or gluten intolerance? Never has engaged one time with my son who is her patient and comes to each appointment, never!
Unhelpful, cold dr with very little personality
At first Dr. Puri was very helpful to my personal issues and I have been seeing her for many years. In these last few years, she was ALWAYS late to all of my appointments. Her staff made it extremely difficult to reschedule or set up a new appointment and they were very rude. They make you jump through hoops just to set up a new appointment.
