We went this evening for a “Friendsgiving” celebration expecting just another steakhouse experience. We were SO WRONG! Our experience from parking the car, to getting back in the car for our journey home, was absolutely amazing! The service was phenomenal, the food was TO DIE FOR, and the ambiance in the restaurant was perfection! This is, by far, one of the best steakhouses in San Antonio!
Staff were great as usual, including management we had staff checking in with us all evening. Spacing was ok for tables around us and all staff appeared to be following safety protocols. As usual food and atmosphere were great.
Spectacular white glove service in an upbeat biz casual atmosphere! As we enter, someone opens the door to welcome us. We’re greeted by the hostess and manager, who are attentive as they guide us to an airy open room with just the right amount of space. Although we had a reservation at 9:30 we didn’t get seated until 10:05. I thought that was the whole point of a reservation . But they did sit us at the bar and took our drink order while we waited, so that was appreciated.
In general the food was not outstanding by any means, but it was good. The waiter that we had did a really good job, he was very attentive. The steak was prepared well and had good flavor but it wasn't exceptional. The sides were good but not very good, although was pleased with the beer selection. I will not be returning to this restaurant in the future, mainly due to the fact that there are prime steakhouses in the same area that offer far superior beef, seafood and sides. This was the second time I had been to Prime. Service was wonderful, food delicious, and Miguel is wonderful.
