l recently had a “Hip Replacement “ with Dr. Gavin ...I found him very professional, as well as knowledgeable in answering any questions l may have had...When l had the fall, l first went to the Arthroscopic Urgent Care to have exrays taken...The exrays showed the broken hip, referred me to the Hilton Head Hospital, “Emergency Entrance” ...l took the exrays with me and Urgent Care faxed All the paper work over to the Hospital... Great doctor, very helpful. Staff was exemplary as well.
He is very conservative in his approach. Takes time to discuss options. Explains the possible outcomes. My recovery has been slower than expected but I am making progress.
Dr. Gavin solved my ankle issue, great doctor. His nurse was very friendly and helpful too.
Staff was good, Dr Gavin however, is not. He did a knee replacement and used a TOO SMALL replacement, which caused problems from the start. Every time I would say something he would say, it takes time to heal and it will be okay, well after having to use a walker again because of the pain he did a bone scan and found out the replacement was too small, and had slipped. His comment was maybe He didnt fit it properly, and that this time he would make sure it was a bigger fit. I would think being the Dr. he would have made sure ... read more
Dr Gavin was one of the best dr's I have been to in a long time. Spent an hour with my son and i explaining his injury, how much time he would need to heal until he could return to sports, etc. We even then saw him out and he not only remembered us but asked how my son was doing! Excellent care, excellent dr!

Went for long term shoulder problem. The Dr.took the time to explain in detail the options available to me. Felt he was extremely knowledgeable, caring and would recommend to a family member.
Dr. Gavin was excellent in his knowledge and care of my sports injuries (shoulder/knee).
