Dr. Gavin is very friendly and spent time with me unlike many other doctors who "scoot you through". Additionally, he uses the latest technology to track his patients.
extremely caring and knowledgeable. Would absolutely recommend.
Came to him in severe pain Said he needed an mri before he could help me even though this was not needed He knew how to help me but did not I highly caution you about his lack of concern and fast shuffle techniques!!!
I do not recommend Dr Gavin after only one visit for a cortisone shot. He didn't take time with me and didn't answer my questions. Walked out of the room before I thought the visit was over. Gave no advice for how to care for my knee when I left the office. He twisted my knee in a way that was unnecessary and made the problem worse. In summary....I am worse off after seeing Dr Gavin than I was before I saw him. I will not go back and I will not recommend him to anyone.
I went to him in March, 2012, not knowing the cause of pain near my outer part of the left leg. At the first appointment he gave me a cortizone shot; had no impact. Had an MRI done in his office. Result showed only a slight meniscus tear. He didn't know the problem but gave me another cortizone shot - 5 weeks after the first one. It's ok he didn't know the cause of my problem but didn't have the guts to say so. I found another doctor on my own that knows about sports medicine and was able to diagnosis the problem.
Dr Gavin put a undersized unit in my knee causing much pain, top and bottom came unglued in just a couple months, it was too small to start with rather than put in a proper fitting structure he Hoped the undersize would work. I had to have a total revision done to correct my problem. If you use this doctor you might want to do more research.
He is the worst doctor I ever went to in my entire life. He does not care about his patients. Bedside matters are terrible. He has a attitude that would you not believe.
Hip replacement surgery went poorly. Terrible recovery, with very little help from Gavin.
He had two tries with my knee replacement. I had the surgeries only 10 days apart (he didn't have the correct part the first time)and he blew it both times. I almost bled out after the second revision because of medication he had me on from the first surgery. My leg was paralyzed from the knee down and my patella was on the side of my leg. I had a gaping wound for a full year, so I had to wait for my third revision (in Philadelphia!) for a full year. It's been 3 years now and I will have to use a walker for the rest of my li... read more
