Minimal wait time and she took time to listen to my needs. Remembers details about my life when I have my annual visit.
We have been seeing Dr Whitesell for a number of years for my husband’s Parkinson’s. She has given excellent care, answering every question clearly and completely. We saw Dr Asher for a while but found his preference to talk bike riding unprofessional. Switching to Dr Seeberger, a full MDS, was awesome, until she moved back to Colorado. Dr Whitesell promised that she won’t move and she pays close attention to my husband’s Parkinson’s. With her care he is doing better than we could hope for.
Dr Whitesell is one of the most knowledgeable neurologists in her field. I have been all over the western United States meeting with various neurologists for my complicated diagnosis. Dr Whitesell has been a constant advisor, intellengent investigator and an amazing support through all of the pain. The ONLY neurologist I have met with the most amazing bed side manners; the art that has become lost in this profession.
She had no knowledge of what I had experienced. Every time she ran a test, she said everything came back normal. I have tendencies to black out and she was not able to explain to me what was causing it. I have been confused about this medical occurrence since it started to happen. It felt like what I left our appointments with was her saying that: tests came back fine and that she didn't know what could cause what I have repeatedly experienced.
Initially, her thoroughness . Then the lack of concern once she knew of adverse reaction events
Dr. Whitesell would not discuss the results of diagnostic testing and unilaterally decided to eliminate necessary medications with no regard to the negative effects it would have. There was no discussion and no listening to my concerns or needs. Her office staff also mixed up my records with another patients.
If I could I would ;eave no stars. She has no bedside manner, nor does she care about her patients. My mother has ms and WAS going to her until her health was declining the last couple of weeks. We finally got her in, at this point she could hardly walk. She started to do a physical on her and was stating that this is normal everything is fine. Then my mother had an accident, At this point the Dr. continued her physical without no regard. She did nothing to help her!!
It's a shame that the staff at Dr Whitesell office are so rude and slow to get messages delivered. Dr Whitesell is a very good doctor but even as an established patient it can take at least 6 weeks to see her. Calls take hours or not returned at all which I believe is staff not the doctor. The office continues to accept new patients even when they can't get the established patients in in a timely manner.
Business response:
We are working on improving our open slots for scheduling. There is a critical shortage of neurologist in the country. We are working hard to recruit other neurologists.
