I had a tummy tuck, lipo to flanks and inner thighs and breast augmentation on Oct 9th, 2013 by Dr. John Burns. His staff pre-op, during and post-op have been extraordinary. Although I have developed some common complications, seroma and dwound separation on my TT incision, the recovery has been exactly as I expected and none of my complications are a result of Dr. burns' handiwork. His incisions are beautiful and super low. I am 5 weeks post op and pretty sure my seroma has resolved after being drained three times. And my w... read more

This journey has been in the making for a long time. It started with the death of my mom. She died from cardiovascular issues. I decided at that point and time that I needed to make a change health wise. I needed to be here to see my child blossom. That's another story in itself...lol. I lost over 130 lbs by sheer strength and determination. I had to and still have to rely On God for helping me in maintaining this weigh loss and making healthy choices. The weight loss was awesome! I look great in clothes, but as soon as thos... read more

i had the pdl treatment to lessen the redness of hypertrophic scars from a breastlift. At 9 months post op, my scars were still bright red, raised, and wide. The laser absolutely helped with the coloring. They had faded to light pink by the third session. I'm now having scar revision surgery because the scars are still so wide but i will definitely use the pdl again as soon as possible to eliminate the redness.

I am a 35 years old and had gastric bypass surgery in December of 2008. After a weight loss of 115 pounds, I was left with a huge saggy tummy. My surgeon and I decided on an extended tummy tuck so that he could smooth out the flanks. I can honestly say I did not have as much pain as I thought. I followed my surgeon's instructions to the letter, including picking up Bromelain & Arnica Montana from the health food store (they help with swelling & bruising). I stayed on top of my pain medication schedule which helped a lot too.... read more

Huge scar down the back of my arm I had my arm lift at a time when my husband was out of town. I was having another procedure and have always been self conscious about my arms. Dr. Burns said trust me so I did but i dislike what he did. I have a huge scar down the back of my arm and haven't felt confident enough to show my arms since he did this. I use to live in tank tops as I teach classes at the gym. The only time I was self conscious is when I was in front of classes with my arms out to the side now I am more self consci... read more

Not Worth It I had been told that a fat transfer probably wouldn't work from another surgeon but Dr.Burns said it would. I went in knowing that it may just go up 1/2c but upto 1. I decided to go ahead. My breasts were beautiful for about 3-4 weeks. At about 6 weeks they were completely gone. The lipo also added some indentation to my inner thighs, and my body looked better before than after. Get a second opinion before getting this surgery. I regret all the money spent for absolutely nothing. Also he said we could do a breas... read more
