At a very early age, I dreamed of having a rhinoplasty. Not because I suffered from a malformation, or injury, but from being unhappy with my appearance. Being a fashion and jewelry designer, and crafting all my designs by hand, I despise imperfection. Over the course of roughly eight-years, I searched, consulted, and interviewed countless plastic throughout Manhattan, Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, and Miami. Some of the surgeons I met with, seemed to be highly qualified, on paper, however when it came to the face-to-face encounter, they made me feel like just another number. I had all but given up on my quest, when I came across Dr. Joshua Lampert.
Prior to my first consultation with Dr. Lampert, I delved deep into Google to find every bit of information I could about him, his education, practice, and reviews from prior clients, just as I had done countless times in the past with other surgeons. I was amazed at the information I found! When I came across a news article on how Dr. Lampert rebuilt a patient’s nose that had been bitten off by a horse, I said to my husband, this doctor has serious skill. During my first office consultation, Dr. Lampert took his time to listen to my story and what I pictured as my desired end result. I was given a tour of his office and surgical suite, which are pristine. I was put at ease to learn a real anesthesiologist MD and an NP would be present throughout the entire surgery, and that Dr. Lampert has credentials at local hospitals in the rare event something was to go wrong either during surgery or during post-op recovery. After all these years of searching, I scheduled my rhinoplasty with Dr. Lampert, along with neck liposuction and a bichectomy.
Surgery day quickly arrived, and needless to say it was a bit nerve wracking. Not only the surgery itself, but I did this during COVID and before vaccines were available. Dr. Lampert’s staff was amazing, and the office and surgical suite again were spotless. They even played music from my favorite artist, Thalia, as I was taken into the operative room. I was thrilled to learn that I was the only patent scheduled for the day, as I was told the three procedures could take close to eight or ten hours. This was surprising to me, as other surgeons said all three procedures would take an hour and a half. That’s a big difference! The surgery ended up taking roughly ten hours, and the staff kept in constant contact with my husband providing updates along the way.
I am at two-years post-op, and I am thrilled! Dr. Lampert truly has the same passion and attention to detail as I do; his expertise is unmatched! Thank you, Dr. Lampert! - Frank
