He was very knowledgeable about my eye problems and was not only able to explain what could be done but also showed me movies on what he would do. He answers every question you may have about the procedure. I now have 20/20 vision after he put in replacement lens and the pressure in my eyes has dropped do I no longer have to put in daily drops. He is the best.

My mother and I were under Dr Melendez’s care. We both had a very positive experience. His staff is a reflection of his great character. They are attentive to our needs. Karissa went above and beyond to meet our needs. Dr Melendez is truly like no other when it comes to doctors. We never felt treated as if we were just another paycheck. From the minute I walked in the door staff knew their job and performed it well. All staff were courteous, knowledgeable, quick (but not rushed) and precise. Dr. Melendez has a wonderful bedside manner and it is evident his staff like working there. The OR staff was exceptional!

All I can say is WOW. From the very beginning of my visit with friendly and welcoming front staff to my post op visit of seeing 20/15 after my SMILE procedure, I highly recommend Juliette Eye Institute. Dr. Melendez, is super informative, compassionate, and cool! Never have I met a Dr. like him before. He listened to all my concerns and had an answer for every one. Dr. Melendez and his staff were courteous, helpful and treated my husband and myself like family. He always explained the procedures and answered all our questions. I'm so happy to have 20/20 back again with the new lenses, as is my husband. Dr. Melendez's extensive training and knowledge is very evident by how smoothly the procedures went. I was feeling really unsure about getting Lasik, after a really quick consultation at another office, (where the only indication of me being a candidate for surgery was my ability to pay). However, my cousin recommended I get a second opinion at Juliette, due to his long-time friendship with Dr. Roybal.
