This doctor saw me for 20 minutes only and diagnosed me with bi-polar illness! My goodness!!!!! She knew all about me in 20 minutes???? She was disinterested in what I had to say and was dismissive when I told her about the meds that I have had a reaction to. I have no confidence in her clinical ability at all.
waited 6 weeks for appt. Dr. Khatchatrian lacked empathy or caring. She spent the entire appt giving instructions on how to come off all current meds and giving me a different one. She diagnosed me as bi-polar after 20 minutes! She explained the traits of bi-polar and I told her but I don't have those response was well, this is what I think. I asked several times if we could address my panic attacts, she brushed it off and said those are nothing, it's just a matter of learning to breath.
She can be super sweet but then suddenly be abrupt, impatient, and irritated. I was crying because I moved here alone and felt isolated and depressed. No sympathy there. She said angrily, I don't like your mood! I was so shocked that I didn't go back for 2 1/2 months. I'm educated, have a career, no encouragement was forthcoming. I was instructed to just do a little volunteering, take it easy, like my useful life was over. Luckily, I found positive help from a counselor to offset the above.
If I could give her a 0 I would. Horrible doctor. She seemed irritated and like I was wasting her time. She belittled me and told me really a 1st grader can do this and you cant She tried giving me medication that I didn't need. My insurance even sent a denial letter saying I have no symptoms. I left her office feeling worse than I ever have. I felt useless and that my life sucked. She's lucky I am not suicidal.. HORRIBLE experience HORRIBLE DOCTOR. I don't know how she still has her license.
