Katz is a horrible management company every time I call the corporate number I get a rude, uninterested receptionist either April or Amanda. I live at their newly acquired apartment building, Bon aire. They jacked the rent up 10% and allowing garbage build up in the parking garage. They didn’t do any snow removal which all turned to ice. Now the garbage can are over flowing with garbage and will do nothing about it. DO NOT RENT FROM KATZ
RUN AWAY. The first unit we were supposed to live in was not livable - broken glass, cockroaches, no window locks on a first story apartment and a random cat living in the building. We moved from out of state and could not see the apartment beforehand because of it. We said we would not live there and needed a different unit, and settled on another building. DO NOT LIVE WITH KATZ. This is a horrible company that treats their tenants like trash. They left nails uncovered in the hallway, they refuse to take out the trash on time, and the entire apt complex smells horrible. There is not on-site manager in case of an emergency, and on top of all that, they raised the rent while the apt complex is falling apart.
Zero stars for customer service, professionalism, maintenance. They are known at "Ratz Properties" in Milwaukee. I would run from any property owned and managed by these crooks. They have a revolving door of untrained staff. They do not address any maintenance issues in a timely fashion and will put a half-a** make repairs because staff does not have actual maintenance experience and they refuse to hire outside contractors. Be prepared for nothing to work as it should.
In 2017 I rented at prospect towers owned by Katz realty. I originally thought they had filed an eviction on me over using my security to pay my last months rent but turns out it was over a 200 dollar crack in a counter top that I honestly saw when I moved in but it was so small didn’t think anything of it but pretty sure I put it on my rental inspection but in any event instead of saying anything to me about it they filed an eviction on me. In 2017 I had lost my job due to whistle blowing on the inhumane treatment of prisoners in my care as a nurse at the house of corrections. I was living at prospect towers owned by Katz properties and was in the last month of my lease when I asked Katz to please take my security which was equal to the rent as I was out of work. After reviewing your account, I see that your security deposit was applied to the balance on your account after you vacated. Unfortunately, the total owed on your account was higher than the amount of your original deposit. When your deposit was applied, it did cover a portion of your past due rent, however there were additional charges for damages to the apartment, along with older rent charges, which were not paid. Made me a homeless Vet since 2017, I was working out of town and they claimed I vacated and took me to court, and made me pay, I have copied and pasted the recept below and it is now on my ccap and can't find a place and have followed everything they told me to do so they would help and now they twisted my words and gave another excuse to change their mind.

Katz Property is a scam, and do not care about their renters as you can see with all the rest of the reviews, on this site. I have been a homeless Vet since 2017, I was working out of town, I had called to set up automatic payment and they did not process it and took me to court, knowing I was out of town and the court would rule in their favor and I would have the eviction on my record...I have paid them over $5000.00 and I was told to remove a review and they would rent to me again.
