I am a disabled combat vet living on the streets since 2018 thanks Kat's property. I was working out of state and had set up an allotment with the district manager and they didn't take out the money as per agreement. When I called to see why they had already sent my finance an eviction notice, which she stated was never received and they had taken me to court, knowing I was out of town for work and had won the case and I came home to find out about this and that I was now homeless and owed them over $5000. Definitely no quality apartments. The circuits blow everyday with only our a/c units running. It took them a month to fix a door that fell off the door frame when I first moved in. There are nails sticking out of every other door frame in the apartment. Our balcony is starting to mold and rot and the door has a huge gap between it and the floor. There are also cracks in every wall. There is also black mold in the basement that has been there for the year I have lived here.
They snuck a lease onto our application and are now trying to get 12 months of rent out of us even though we never even received keys
DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY! Giving this company 1 start is generous. The 5 star reviews are 100% fake and probably from employees of Katz. I have never dealt with such an unprofessional, disrespectful, corrupt business. They refused to respond to several emails and calls of mine and the property managers for months after my neighbor was using drugs and stole over $500 of packages from me. DO NOT RENT WITH KATZ. The woman who answers the phone, Amanda Oswald, is curt and disrespectful, and won't listen to any issues you have without gaslighting you that the apartment's issues are your own fault (i.e., shower not working, exposed light fixture, etc.). In addition, Katz will con you out of money by trying not to give you your security deposit back. Unfortunately, your father is not on the lease, so when he called back this afternoon making demands in a disrespectful manner, I was not able to help him.
