I really like Dr Means , he is a great vet but the day I scheduled a visit, my dog was seen by the female(Ms.Cochran) vet at King Animal Clinic. I did not have a good experience with her, she called my dog a mutt, she was not pleasant and told me I should rehome my dog. Who says that to a patient? Her bedside manner is terrible. After being a patient for almost 2 years Dr Means and I have mutually decided to part ways. In late 2023 I called the clinic to ask about an email that I get regularly that says it's from king vet (not animal clinic). I needed to purchase some of my flea/tick/heart med. I explained that I was happy to buy it from them and would only consider buying it from the website because of shipping. Whoever I spoke to joyfully offered to ship it, so that's what we did. Last time I called to make appointment for a nail trim, they told me to just bring him in anytime..no need for an appointment. Beth at the front asked if I had an appointment. I said no, just a walk in for a nail trim. She said they have not done walk ins in years. I explained I had been told it wasn't necessary to make an appointment...she just flat out didn't want to hear it. Beth the vet tech is intimidated by knowledge. Here is what happen. I have a Labrador that needs surgery to remove a tumor ASAP. My lab has had reactions to the rabies vaccine with a face swollen face and she could barley walk. They insisted my dog would have to have a Rabies shot due, in order to do surgery. I explained it is common knowledge you do not give a dog a toxic rabies shot if they have cancer. I explained my Labrador's sister died in my arms just three months earlier from the rabies vaccine.
