This place has been a real lifesaver! I was moving my dad from the mid-west to LA and needed somewhere to help give him his diabetic meds but also a place where he will feel independent and not just be stuck in a room all day. Kingsley is awesome - not only does it offer care and housing for seniors at a fraction of the cost of most other places, but they offer med management without being in a nursing home setting. My mom and I visited Kingsley Manor to find potential housing for my elderly Aunt. We were quickly taken with the atmosphere; Full staff, activities, a library, computer lab AND computer classes, beautiful grass lawns and scattered gardens. WOW! That's all I can say about this absolutely picturesque living facility. The grounds are absolutely stunning, with lush greenery, friendly faces and clean, upscale environment. I came to Kingsley on a group tour with a Gerontology class, and was in awe! I've had my grandparents stay at nursing homes which smell, and have a dark & depressing environment, and that was a total contrast to what I saw here. BEWARE OF THE HIDDEN FEES!! They will not itemize the amounts and instead use it against you to evict. My uncle lived here for about a year and instead of letting him know he was behind in "fees" they evicted him and tried to collect. Turns out, the rent went up and my uncle was still "grandfathered" in per his agreement. So it was easier to evict him with "unpaid fees" and get a new tenant with a higher rent. They are a scam.

Curious why you would evict a 90 year old man? Please make it make sense. In the newspaper it said that He said there were hidden fees he didnt know excisted but will pay. So why cant he stay if hes happy there.

I have a loved one staying at Kingsley and i have to say they're thoughts of this place aren't the best. They are short staffed but they do try and keep up with the overwhelming amount of residents they have. One of the residents even fell off the roof, which is concerning. Who is taking proper care of our elderly. I have heard from one or two other residents they like it there but if you need special care this is not the place for you. Don't have any relative you love live here. If your loved one needs NO HELP this will be a great place. But too many of us have special needs as we get older. If you have any mobility, dietary, sickness, etc. type of problems this would NOT be the 1ST pick. As of current there's over 10% of the population has COVID so that says a ton about their staff and precautions/protocol when it comes to dealing with our loved ones. If I could give this nursing home a 0 star I would, however 1 is the lowest it can go. This establishment is incredibly abusive towards their patients, has terrible management, and the staff is rude to family of loved ones and the residents there. A family member of mine went there to visit a loved one and noticed a bruise on their arm which the staff didn't let us know that they fell and hurt themselves. The staff doesn't listen to the loved one's requests nor do they have any empathy for the residents staying at this home.... read more
