Prooerty has been nicely renovated. We were travelling with our dogs and we especially appreciated that the room we were assigned had a fear door to an en losed coirtyard with plenat of grass for walking them.

Small beds, don’t put anyone by the ice machine, and serve breakfast. The beds were really small. I would say they’re twin size, but my wife and I had a very tough time sleeping and most of the time ended up sleeping with my kids because there wasn’t much room to even move when we were both on the bed. Another thing that I was really upset by, was that they weren’t serving breakfast. I’ve stayed at other hotels and they still serve breakfast, but it’s only to go, and they were prepped beforehand. Also the pool was closed. That I understand why, but couldn’t families reserve a 1 hr block and a 30 minute clean up in between? Not sure how efficient that would be but I just felt like I was playing for a hotel with a ton of amenities and didn’t get any of the main ones. One amenity that was convenient for us was the ice machine. The ice machine was very close to our room, in fact Too Close. The machine was right up against the headboard of our bed, and when that thing turned on it was really loud and shook the bed a little. Maybe a reimbursement for partial amount of the stay would make me feel like it was more worth the stay here then choosing another hotel. I like the first floor had tall ceilings. Big windows. Great location, close to Walmart and the interstate.

When I went to check in the gentleman at the desk was not friendly but not grumpy either. It was a paycheck to him. He said my card didn't work so I had to put the number in, so me being me, I had to check again and he snarled "Just put the number in". I told him to settle down. Then we were put in a room, that obviously hadn't been cleaned because it was a non-smoking hotel and this room reeked of smoke and the tub was dirty and dirt in every corner in the bathroom. I had to request another room. The new room was ok, there was still dirt in the corners and along the bathtub but you could tell it had been given a lick but not a polish. I stayed for three nights and had to get 3 different room keys because they kept failing to open the doors. There was lots of stuff gathered in the corners of the hall. One suggestion I would make would be that handicap ramps be put at every door not just one. My mother is 88 and needs a cane, and it was hard for her to walk long distances and the door by where our room was did not have a handicap ramp so she had to climb the curb and there was not a sidewalk for her to walk from her car to the door. Also if handicap parking was available at each door it would also be beneficial. Thank you.
