Lakeland provides quality care and professionalism for the clients they serve. The range of patients and residents served from across the entire country gives testament to the care they provide. When Lakeland receives many out of state patients/residents, it demonstrates the quality of care people are paying for to help their kids.

I was a patient there, I just got discharged today. I came in on 07/09/23 and left on the 14th. The unit I was on was 4 south, let me tell you, the upstairs looks nothing like the down stairs, they make it look so clean, but upstairs not really. But the best part about my stay on 4 south was the some of the techs. (Aka Ms. Kelsy A.) she was like a second mother to me. She helped me a lot through my stay when I was there when she was working evening shifts. She made me feel comfortable and safe there and that I could trust th... read more

I dont normally do reviews, but in this case it may be helpful for someone like me was looking for some kind of assurance that the place i had to send my daughter to was going to be helpful and she would be in good hands. WHen it was decided she needed a higher level of care, we couldnt find an in state facility so i had to send her 1500 miles away, it was terrifying and the hardest decision i had to make. Every review i read was negative so i made calls to some case managers in or area and they had given me some hope that... read more

I was impatient at Lakeland on the residential for girls from July 2022 to March 2023. It was absolutely terrible the food was a rock hard cold and food was often a privilege we'd have to sit in transition for well over 10 minutes for more until we could get our food if someone talked and get restarted. If it was 30 minutes after a meal you weren't allowed to get it that's happened twice when I was there. But then when we didn't eat we'd get consequences. There was cockroaches bugs there was mold in the showers none of the r... read more

I was a patient on the adolescent unit 2 years ago, the food was horrible, multiple children had sex, a 12 year old boy who wasn't supposed to be on the teen unit, got raped, and the whole unit was involved, fights happened every week, the people who weren't involved got punished for weeks, got told in therapy that I was selfish, because I didn't want to open up to my parents. the staff was horrible, the care wasn't good.

They really do define the meaning of putting the Psycho in Psychotherapy. This place is not any kind therapy at all. It induces more traumas than resolves them. Installs more phobias than it ever helps. It needs some serious evaluation and if that ever occurred it would be shut down I am sure.

The staff is very disrespectful when we are sleeping. Even when i'm at home i'm so quiet when ppl are sleeping because that's what's respectful. 4 Souths staffs need to be way more quieter. They literally don't sweep or mop the floors. I'd be sitting in transition and there was a literally clump of hair on my socks and the girls js casually say that's normal. Y'all need to do some real changes on this facility. The food was not the best at all. We reported our clogged toilet multiple times and no one ever fixed it while i wa... read more
