My son was released today from this center. He would tell me every night on the phone that the food was horrible and that there really wasn't much to do. He said he only got to go outside twice while there. He said it felt more like a prison then a place that helps depressed people

My son was there for behavioral issues due to trauma that happened when he was younger. He wasn't even half way through the program and their so called "psychiatrist" Dr. Akin said my son didn't need to stay any longer. If they have a 4 part program, why does their "doctor" (I say that term loosely) say he doesn't need to stay longer? He has made some progress, but still has a long way to go. Whatever you do, DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE. It is a waste of time, they don't fight for your kids, and no one communicates. We... read more

The place inside is filthy and they have huge roach problem. They actually look at big as hissing cockroaches. They have bedbugs inside their beds and the units are hardly ever cleaned by anyone but the residents

My son was placed here in June 2019. Please parents do not send your children here. My son was overmedicated several times. One time even resulting in him getting a concussion. I am actually trying to urge people not to send their children there.

I am a past patient, discharged on 2/11/19. This place was horrible! The staff were rude and did not help us with our needs right away like they said they would. At night the staff would talk/laugh loudly and when we asked them to please be a little quieter, the response was "You girls talk all day so we can talk at night." The whole place was dirty and dirt that was there when I arrived was STILL there when I left. The whole place was traumatizing. Everything had a lock on it, we couldn't use the restroom without a tech (s... read more

I am 67 and was taken from my home 4.11 held at this facility over 96 hrs. By the way the floor I was held on looked nothing as nice as the photos shown. Here's what happened to me: I was on the phone with Mercy hospital Joplin MO discussing a form they sent me to apply for financial aid. The question from them was have you ever tried to harm yourself. Honestly, I told them 3 months ago I was homeless and I thought about it. I said I just need to know if your aid will cover most of the cost for me to see a therapist/psychiat... read more
