The Doctors and staff have meant so much to our family, 2 and 4 pawed, over the years. I don't know what we would do without them.

When I lived in Glendale all of my furry and 1 feathered babies were well taken care of at Lakeside. How strange to see this on Facebook now that I live in CO. They were the best!!!
The lady’s at the front desk are just so rude and snotty. Seems they’re better than everyone else and it’s getting worse and worse. I’ve been taking my dogs to them for years so had my family but we’ve noticed a change in staff for a while now. Seems if you make a appointment online you should call each day just to verify that it’s still in the system since they always have problems with they’re log-ins. Bottom line, they’ve lost our business. And I will be telling others about this.

I don't think anyone wants to be rude but I do know the last two years have been difficult with covid, curbside, staff shortages, and everyone adopting a pet. I took my dog to have her put to sleep (scheduled) and when I got there, they informed me that she hasn't been there in a while and needed an exam and it would be $65. Now I don't care about the money, but the dog was in bad shape and didn't need an exam. An alternative is to tell you on the phone so you can be prepared. This was obviously a very emotional time and I was very sad. I told the lady that this was unacceptable and I don't need to prolong the situation and spoke to the manager. I want to tell you how sorry I am that we added to your grief. We do have protocols in place because we are dealing with a medication that is a controlled substance and giving your dog an overdose. I could go on further to explain but that won't help. I know this from personal experience. Nineteen years ago I waited six months after my Mom died to write a letter directly to the hospice that took care of my dying Mom because of their lack of compassion. My dog was struck by a car at 40 mph so I took her to be examined by Dr. Poetzel and he couldn't find anything wrong with her jaw and neck even though I told him I believed something was wrong. Two weeks passed and I brought her in for another exam feeling certain some thing was not right because her eating and chewing changed abruptly. Again he assured me he couldn't find anything on his exam.
