Chris suggested the design and layout of our pool. We agreed and I couldn't be happier. His experience and knowledge about features most used and desired was greatly appreciated. He was honest with me about the pros and cons of several features and pointed out issues I hadn't thought of. He was down to earth and open with us. It was a pleasure doing business with him. Once the building process started, all of the workers were nice and professional. They did good work. They know what they are doing. JP and Edgar were very helpful answering all my questions regarding controlling the pool with my phone. The pool looks great and I've received so many compliments on it. Even the service workers maintaining the pool are a joy to talk with. more »

I did my due diligence and contacted numerous pool companies to bounce ideas and get proposals for this major financial decision. I'm very happy I chose to go with Lang Pools. From the first meeting with Edgar Mora I had a great feeling of assurance that they would create a pool that me and my friends and family could enjoy for many years to come! Through out the process Lang Pools has not disappointed. Lang's work crew, the subcontractors they recommended and Vanessa the office manager have been top notch! I can't begin to tell you the smile on my face every time I step into my backyard and see my little slice of Aloha... You will not be disappointed selecting Lang Pools to create your backyard oasis. more »

Chris Lang and his staff did an amazing job on my vinyl pool liner. If you are confused with choices, select Bonita it looks like a gunite pool. Vanessa the office mgr was a pleasure to work with and let me know upfront about all the potential charges so I could manage my budget. There was one or two minor items and when I spoke with Vanessa she took care of EVERYTHING !!! I vote for Vanessa for employee of the month!! Also, when someone does a superb job you should let them know! Lang, you done it Superb !! Thank you! Jackie more »

We love our new Lang in-ground gunite free-form swimming pool (45’x25’) and spa (9’ oval). Overall we would highly recommend Lang Pools (we are awaiting final certificate of occupancy inspections). We priced several of the top gunite/shotcrete builders in our area and Lang was neither the lowest or the highest . The project manager Edgar Mora was attentive and responsive to our questions/requests and some of his crew were superstars in making sure we were happy (THANK YOU Eddie Lemus)!! The design phase started during the winter months and Edgar provided several renditions which we tweaked. Construction in April was delayed many weeks due to weather. The site excavation was done meticulously and we asked that they scrape off the top 12” of our rich farm topsoil into a separate pile for later use. If you have an sloping terrain, I suggest you also speak to a landscape architect to determine the best elevation for the pool relative to your home and yard space and take into account whether you will need fill and topsoil – that should be estimated and priced with the job as the Lang base contract only provides a 4 foot rough grade around pool. The gunite crew was amazing as there was unexpected delays that day due to the closing of the Tappan Zee and an unexpected downpour in the afternoon. However the crew anticipated this and they quickly erected a huge tent that kept everything dry. There were some glitches in the preparation of the pool rebar form that we only noticed after the gunite was applied, however these were all reshaped with hydraulic cement and the shape turned out perfectly after the plaster was applied. We had to wait 6 weeks before plastering and water. In retrospect, this was a period that could have be shortened substantially as there were several weeks where the shell sat curing and no work was done. We would have saved a few weeks if during that cure time the plumbing, electrical, equipment setup and coping template could have started much earlier however for some reason things were idle for many weeks but once they started up it went pretty fast and smoothly. Finally the day for plastering and water – I researched this and we opted for Quartzscapes French Grey quartzite. The plastering team of 10+ did a superb job with the plaster and were able to repair some rebar / gunite defects particularly in our wedding cake style steps. One surprise that we were not aware was that it would be our responsibility to brush down the entire plaster pool walls, benches, steps twice a day initially and then daily for several weeks. We are seniors and it was a bit of a hardship not being able to find any local teenagers to hire for that job. I suggest you discuss and agree with Lang pools who and how often this will be done. It is a critical part of getting a perfect quartzite plaster finish. After the water sat for 3 ½ weeks we were able to start the salt chlorine system plus turn on the heat for the spa and all worked well though there were some electronic glitches with the Jandy gas heater connection to the Jandy iAqualink control system plus another glitch showing solar panels where none exist. Lang is contacting Jandy to find the problem. BUT so far everything is working fine with the remote system and great to be able to do everything by smart phone. If I had to change anything – I would not go with the Jandy WaterColors LED lights (we have 3 in pool and 1 in spa) . These offer 14 different colors/patterns and if when you change colors it has to cycle through the sequence turning all the lights on and off repeatedly until it reaches the selected color. Also, Lang wired all 4 LEDs together on one switch but we will change this next year to keep spa and pool LEDs separate. We are using Lang for weekly maintenance and their service manager Kevin is EXTREMELY knowledgeable and another huge asset interacting with customers. All in all – we have a gorgeous pool, that was fairly priced and was built with expertise and attention to details that have made my wife and I very happy. more »

What a terrific company. Lang installed my pool 12 years ago and did a wonderful job. I use them to service the pool and everything is completely hassle-free.

There are a lot of mediocre
companies out there, and you need a pool company that you can trust. Lang is such a company.

I highly recommend them.
