It is totally amazing! Beautiful to look at and astonishing to behold all of the records its contains.
This is the biggest library in the world and is one of the places where you can understand a lot about foundation of US of America and principal of the modern republic.
I forced my kids to accompany me all over the place this week because 1. I have no interest in navigating public transit and therefore 2. They have to act responsible while I play on my phone, so... Win/Win. Anyway, THIS was my favorite place, architecturally. The Library of Congress is so beautiful. I could have stayed for a half day, just staring at the walls and ceilings. I wasn't sure what to expect when my husband scheduled this tour (sent here after not being able to get into The White House). However, I was pleasantly surprised. Our tour guide was Vic, a very nice, knowledgeable, and comical gentleman. The beauty in the library is breathtaking. This is even better if you're a book nerd like myself. Seeing originals of some of my favorite works was an honor. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
