I'm greatful for their programs for the visual impaired. They have changed my life as I love reading but can't due to being legally blind.
The Library of Congress was my favorite spot in DC! I went to the Madison building to get my reader identification card and checked out books to read in the main reading room. Sat in there reading for hours! What a cool place!
Everyone should visit the library of Congress at some point in time and get the researcher pass to go in and just sit in this most majestic place.
It's inspiring. I wanted to read books no longer in print by an author born in 1893. I requested the books online on a Sunday night and they were in my hands in the Jefferson reading room the next morning by 11:00 A.M. FROM OFFSITE! The librarians made it simple.
