What good does it do to have a vet that you travel 45 minutes to get to And never can get an appointment? Twice now I've had emergencies with my cats and have had to take them to an emergency vet center. ( pay their outrages fees) Because I can't get appointments here at their vet . Pretty disgusting service.
Cannot believe the new ludicrous policy put in place that shots and wellness exams cannot be done while the animal is being boarded. The explanation is that this is a burden on the vets since they already have appoints scheduled. My question was then when an animal is boarded and shots and wellness exams are requested why don’t you put the boarded animal on the schedule? No answer for why this can’t be done. This was our first time visiting Long Meadow Vet. We have been long time patients of Mid Atlantic Vet Hospital and we’re so sad to hear of them closing. I personally don’t believe that any vet office will measure up to Mid Atlantic. Their staff and care are TRULY a cut above!! We showed up for our appointment. This place was absolutely terrible and I will never take my pet there . Mis-treated staff members always seen in tears or with unhappy faces . The main vet of this place is an absolute joke.
***Pet owners: if there is ever a vaccine recall...there is NO WAY to track this to your pet, because this Vet does not care enough to record such things.*** There are mixed opinions about administering the Leptospirosis vaccine to smaller dogs. I made an appointment for the Distemper and the Bordatella. I do not give my dogs the leptospirosis vaccine due to the history of reactions in dachshunds. We had a very unfortunate incident at Long Meadow today. A couple had asked for our trapping help to get a colony of cats on their property fixed and vaccinated quickly. We trapped several cats( 7 I think ) last night and they brought the cats to be spayed/neutered today using a Little Wonders Voucher at your veterinary hospital. They tested all the cats for FIV/Feline Leukemia because it seems the "Little Wonders Animal Rescue" vouchers require the test and the client got those vouchers to use.
