They actually do the activities in memory care and the activities leader goes to residents' room to remind them an activity is about to start. Also, their food is very good. Always a fresh salad before lunch or dinner. Good food Always a desert. Also every holiday season they have special activities and the family is included. I had pre-thanksgiving luncheon and Thanksgiving dinner there with my loved one and they were both very good

The Heartis Waco community itself is very nice, the apartment rooms are really nice size and we have had no issues with that at all. They are understaffed at times so the care is lacking and sometimes the staff seem a little disorganized. We do think they would benefit from like a checklist or something during the onboarding process to make things a little easier.

We had a great first impression with Heartis Waco, the staff members are very friendly, we have had so complaints at all they really try their best and we would absolutely recommend this community to other families.

I think some changes have happened during our experience. We had some bumps but I have not had any big complaints. I am just glad I am there for my loved one to advocate. I do feel like there should be more nursing staff available 24 hours a day and I do not see that. When you have residents who are older and need assistance, sometimes they get sick and there is no nurse. They do have med techs, but not an actual RN. Mom really enjoys the activities. I appreciate the pictures and stories that [name removed] shares with me. My Mom recently was transferred to the Emergency Dept for extreme pain. I was very satisfied with Heartis informing me of her situation. Heartis has been excellent with management of her care.

We were able to have an In-person tour at Heartis Waco. I found it to be very clean and well run. The residents seemed to be very happy.
There are a lot of fun activities; however, my loved one doesn't participate in them. Memory care is not an after thought here. The staff are fantastic to work with if I have questions or concerns. The memory care director is wonderful.
We chose Heartis for my loved one because she has very specific needs, and Heartis is able to meet them. The staff here are great. They are very helpful, and they're just very attentive to my loved one. I think she is very happy with the food, and I appreciate that they keep the community very clean. Even though my loved one hasn't participated yet, they seem to have a lot of actives and get togethers for the residents in the community. We are very happy with Heartis so far, and would recommend the community to others.

Heartis Waco is a beautiful and inviting community. My Mom is there right now, my Dad is in the hospital but will be joining her soon. The staff is very friendly and caring. I have dined there with my Mom and the food is very good, well balanced with lots of choices. They provide a lot of activities in and outside the community. They try to encourage my mom to participate but she is not up to it yet. We are hoping that as she gets more acclimated she will join in some of them.
